This page is dedicated to the expedition of the Galilean Society of SUNY Plattsburgh to the Big Island of Hawai’i to observe and record the Venus Transit of 2012. Our excursion will last from the 31st of May to the 14th of June and we will be documenting our journey through posts, pictures, and videos.

Stuck in Newark
Research comes to a screeching postponement due to delays, the plot thickens!
So glad I found this! I wish you the best of luck and clear skies for your observing - my high school astronomy club is also making the attempt in Staten Island, NY - so I'll keep my fingers crossed for clear skies across the U.S.! keep us posted :-) And a shout out to my pals Lisabeth and Fritz - I am long overdue for a visit! ~Alia Jackson '04 PS - how come we didn't have this awesomeness when I was there!?!?
