On our way to visit the Thurston (Nahuku) Lava Tube.
Some 500 years olds, 600 plus feet long & a ceiling height that
ranges from 10 to 30 feet.
A brief pause at the entrance.
And then into the darkness...
Very damp inside.
Jurassic Park sized fern living on the "other" side of the tunnel.
Fiddle heads.... only one per meal needed!
